Steve: I have studied the bible in depth. I'm trying to see if anyone can tell me where in the bible it says these things. No one has done that yet.

Seenotes: I checked all the bible verses you gave me and quotes 1,2,3,5,6 all support what I stated in my question that we have eternal life thru Christ...Quote 4 confirms what I've been saying that we receive either eternal life or death.
Your last quote is the only one I find challenging, but I have heard it explained that the example Christ used was depicting what happened to people before Christ saved souls from damnation. I see holes in both sides. You've come the closest .

eternal torment is not a Bible teaching
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing
at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.

(Ecclesiastes 3:18-21) . . .I, even I, have said in my heart with regard to the sons of mankind that the [true] God is
going to select them, that they may see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For there is an eventuality as respects the
sons of mankind and an eventuality as respects the beast, and they have the same eventuality. As the one dies, so the
other dies; and they all have but one spirit, so that there is no superiority of the man over the beast, for everything is
vanity. 20 All are going to one place. They have all come to be from the dust, and they are all returning to the dust.
21 Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast,
whether it is descending downward to the earth. . .

Soul
Definition: In the Bible, “soul” is translated from the Hebrew ne´phesh and the Greek psy·khe´. Bible usage
shows the soul to be a person or an animal or the life that a person or an animal enjoys. To many persons,
however, “soul” means the immaterial or spirit part of a human being that survives the death of the physical
body. Others understand it to be the principle of life. But these latter views are not Bible teachings.
What does the Bible say that helps us to understand what the soul is?
Gen. 2:7: “Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of
life, and the man came to be a living soul.” (Notice that this does not say that man was given a soul but that he became a
soul, a living person.) (The part of the Hebrew word here rendered “soul” is ne´phesh. KJ, AS, and Dy agree with that
rendering. RS, JB, NAB read “being.” NE says “creature.” Kx reads “person.”)

They cannot. When someone dies, they are dead- no one is tormented anywhere.

****Many religions teach that every human has a soul that passes on to the spirit realm after the death of the physical body. They say that the body dies but the soul does not die. Moreover, they assert that the soul cannot die, that it is immortal.

But God’s Word does not teach that. The Bible shows that the soul is the person, not something inside a person. For example, in describing the creation of Adam, the Bible states: “And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7) So Adam was not given a soul; he was a soul.

Animals also are called souls.—Genesis 1:20, 21, 24, 30.

Since the Bible word “soul” means the person himself, it should not surprise us to learn that souls can and do die. The Scriptures say:

“The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.”—Ezekiel 18:4.

“And Samson proceeded to say: ‘Let my soul die with the Philistines.’”—Judges 16:30.

“Is it lawful on the sabbath to do a good deed or to do a bad deed, to save or to kill a soul?”—Mark 3:4.

Other scriptures show that souls can be destroyed (Genesis 17:14), slain by the sword (Joshua 10:37), suffocated (Job 7:15), and drowned (Jonah 2:5). Thus, the soul dies.

If you read the Bible from cover to cover, you will never find the phrase “immortal soul.” The human soul is not a spirit. The teaching of the immortal soul is not a Bible teaching. It is a teaching of Satan and his demons. Jehovah hates all religious lies.—Proverbs 6:16-19; 1 Timothy 4:1, 2.

In the Historic Christian view, the human soul is not eternal, having no beginning or end, but is everlasting, having a created beginning but is immortal.

The soul which leaves this world outside of the state of grace(which only God can judge and no man can do so truly ) will be reunited with a resurrected body( as will those who leave in grace) at the Universal or General Resurrection.

Hell is the state of everlasting mortal sin and rejection of and alienation from God the All-Good . Souls can experience this state and will (if "grace-less' ) experience this state also as resurrected bodies.

Those who advocate "soulsleep' or soul death with the body and/or extermination or extinction at the Judgement accept, from an Historic Christian(Catholic,Orthodox or Protestant) perspective
, an injustice
since most see Hitler,Stalin, etc getting punishment that all the other "unsaved'(by whatever definition) receive: extinction

The soul and spirit are both eternal.Only the physical body is finite.Although the spirit is either dead or alive in this life, the soul and spirit body will spend eternity in either Heaven or the Lake of Fire depending on where you stand with God.The soul is not synonymous with the spirit.A more detailed answer could be given but you show your bias by falsely stating no answers to your previous query proves your position.Nonsense and poor logic.

There are wholes/ flaws and also contradictions in bible which you have seen and pointed yourself. But ALLA (THE GOD) says in the QURAN that human soul is eternal. It was created before its bith on the earth and will remain for ever after the death of its body. The people who are belivers and not sinners and those who will be choosen by ALLAH on HIS own will enjoy eternal life in JANNAH( Heaven) and others will be sent to Jahanum(Fire Lake) for ever and will remain there for ever.

You leave your body when you die and continue on. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience

WE ARE A SPIRITUAL BEINGS HAVING A HUMAN EXPERIENCE.

Your challenge is just sticking to the bible and looking for verification for certain questions. There are hundreds of other books that are worth investigating and questioning.

Open yourself up to other possibilities, and you will be surprised what you will find.

To me a so called sin, is a mistake I have made, which I rectify and learn from. Thus I grow to be a better person.

I do not use the word "evil" (by the way reversed that tells us to LIVE". AND I do not believe in a devil, or Antichrist, or demons and I have never said in my life THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT.

I make my own choices with the free will that God gave me and I am a better person for it.

I have investigated many religions and have decided that I choose not to belong to any organized religion. I have also become a better person for that choice.

God is a loving god and has no room for torment judgment or vengeance.,
