If I died and it turned out there was a God. Well first of all I'd apologise for not believing and hope he'd accept it.

False dilemma - you're assuming that an atheist would in the "afterlife" confront a god who was angered that the atheist did not believe in gods.

What if the god in question admired the honesty of atheists, even if they turned out to be wrong?

What if the Christian died and realized that there was a god who considered Christians to be either opportunists or cowards?

If I died and realized that there was a God, I'd be surprised, but I wouldn't convert or anything.

As an atheist, I've lived the only way I possibly could and still remained honest to myself. If I am damned for that, then so be it (but I know I'm not.)

There's really nothing you can do about it, I'd just say "oh well." Had I had better evidence maybe I would have believed but in lack of good evidence I came to the conclusion that made the most sense to me. Can't fault myself for that.

As a Pagan I'd be standing back and watching the fun when both groups get to meet hundreds of Gods. :D

supposing that there is a god.

is that god jesus, or allah, or yahweh, or krishna ... or someone else?

does that god wish to be worshiped (and in what way)? or does that god expect believers to have lived a good life (as for example most of the greek pantheon would have asked).

....

the second part of your question really makes no sense.

nor does the first.

I would give God the finger for being such a Douche and head on down to hell where I would prefer to be!

I can't worship a jealous God like him.

More likely we will both die and not exist to find out anything.

As an Atheist, my answer would depend on which "god". Tell me the character of this deity, I'll tell you my response.
