Hello, your answers are pretty much accurate, with a few exceptions. Here is a bit better way to word those sentences.

1-I've made up my mind to fire John out of the company. His productivity has greatly reduced since his wife died.

Should be...
I've made up my mind to fire John from the company. He has been far less productive since his wife died.

2-I know that Peter is planning to get an MBA but he has to make up his mind before taking any step further.

Should be...
I know that Peter is planning to get an MBA; but he has to make up his mind before he takes any further steps.

3-You have to make up your mind to which research project you would like to share in.

Should be...

You need to make up your mind about which of the research projects that you would like to contribute to.

4-We've got a plenty of time so we're making up our minds to go to the cinema.

Should be...
We have plenty of time, so we've decided to go to the cinema.

5-Come on, make up your mind which colour you would go for.

Should be...
Come on; make up your mind. Which colour would you go for?.

You could also say "Which colour do you prefer?"

Also, keep in mind that the spelling of the word "Colour" in English depends on where you are located. If you are in the UK, that spelling is accurate. But if you are in America, the 'U' is dropped so it is spelled "Color".

Good luck; I hope this helps!

1. Not bad.
2. I think I would say, he has to make up his mind before taking further steps.
3. You don't need the "to" in the middle of this sentence.
4. I think you mean "whether to go to..."
5. American is Color but yeah, not bad.

The sentences are not exactly right, but not bad.

I t;hink you understand what "make up" means; however:
1. fire John FROM the company
2. Peter needs to make up his mind before taking further steps

these are phrased a bit better.
