Isaiah 45:18 - "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else."

We can clearly see from this scripture that God's purpose was for people to live on the earth. All those who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb will return with Him to earth one day when Christ sets up His 1,000 year reign. (Revelation 19:7-16).

Also in Revelation 21: 2-3 - "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God."

God bless you Sandy!!!

How about this one:

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Now, I'm not a JW or anything but it sure looks to me like our final destination is going to be Earth.

I believe God made a perfect world (in Genesis)
a place called Eden which in all essence if man had not sinned would have been heaven on earth. read from Genesis:
Genesis 2:22 And the LORD God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever." 23 So the LORD God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Sandy this is a very good question , I believe in the beginning man was created to live eternally here on Earth , then Adam and Eve sinned against god and they were doomed to live but a short time upon this world , Christians believe Jesus died for our sins becoming a sacrificial lamb on the alter and who ever accepts the teachings of the bible will have everlasting life in Heaven

He wants us to live in Himself. But I am sure that we are not going to live in heavens because the New Jerusalem comes out of God from heavens (Rev. 22). God wants us to live on the earth, the earth is the place He wants to get because He already has heavens.

On earth in Israel, He doesn't break His promises.

Ezek 11:17 "Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "I shall gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scattered, and I shall give you the land of Israel."'
Ezek 11:18 "When they come there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations from it.
Ezek 11:19 "And I shall give them one heart, and shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh,
Ezek 11:20 that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God.

Ezek 36:24 "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own land.
Ezek 36:25 "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.
Ezek 36:26 "Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezek 36:27 "And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.
Ezek 36:28 "And you will live in the land that I gave to your forefathers; so you will be My people, and I will be your God.

Sorry, I am not a Christian but I do believe in The Messiah. My hope is that we will all become one as He and The Father are One. That we will all be back home in the promised land where His Name and Presence will dwell.

For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
Deuteronomy 4:32

It seems we were made to live on earth. The meek shall inherit the earth. According to the Bible it looks like there will be a new heaven and a new earth and the new earth is where we will live.
