I came here legally and I do not defend any one who decided they were above the immigration laws of the USA.

The immigration policy is very comprehensive for all and is there for a reason

It depends on the situation. I don't want someone just coming over the border and 2 months later adjusting status, but I do believe that others who deserve a chance should get one. Why? Because I know how it is ! Because they deserve it ! And because there are many cases where people got screwed by a lawyer or aged out or lost status due to some weird loophole in the laws. I have sympathy for people who get 'stuck' and for students like with the Dream Act. I have NO sympathy for someone who just comes to rape and pillage the U.S.

Personally.....I don't think the majority do. I think they understand why they do and have wonderful suggestions as to how the rules might be changed......but I really don't believe most want to make it easy. Once you do it....you don't want to give it away to those who don't want to do anything legal.

The last amnesty gave a free ride to too many. Check the numbers yourself....they were mostly MEXICAN. What did they learn? Come in mass and they will HAVE to please you too. Majority rules. Invade and conquor.

One knows the look in a robbers eyes that is taking what they need to feed a family and the look of one who does it for a living.

I said it back with Regan and so did so many others.....this will only open the door to more,,,,and it did. Tell me please....Pedro leaves his village...married to Rosa,,,a beautiful girl...says he's going the US to make money..he leaves.....she's waiting for his return....he's got a ton of girlfriends and babies here. Trust me.....I know why the successful trade of illegals worked because the mama and the babies stayed in Mexico....I don't blame these women for saying.....no baby,,,not this time......they want to be WITH their husbands. Why wait not knowing if and when he sends you a check? They are women in love with their husbands. They have children who want and need their daddy.

I do GET it. I don't blame them. Thing is...it's gotten so out of control it has to stop.

In New Mexico, Spanish-Americans (ie descendants of conquistadors who settled north of the Rio Grande) virulently hate Mexican-Americans (ie descendants of conquistadors who settled south of the Rio grande), regardless of the Mexican's legal status or even how long they or their family may have been in the US. It's a discrimination that makes no sense at all.

I've been told it is because the Spanish-Americans believe they have purer Spanish blood, since they did not intermingle with the natives as much as their compatriots down south.

because they know that they were lucky enough to not have to break the law, like the ones they defend. they know how bad it is over in their original land and they know how bad the need and the determination to get over to the US is. in other words. they feel for them and can sympathize with them.

Most legal immigrants I know are proud of their accomplishments, and are strongly opposed to illegal immigration. They feel it is disrespectful to their own efforts for others to disregard the law and the process and to jump in line in front of law abiding immigrants.

My family immigrated before 1918 thus they were neither legal nor illegal. Having worked to help getting people visas, particularly post 9/11, as well as dealing with families who are separated I don't blame the people who come here, but the businesses who hire them illegally.

You do not really want an explaination. You are just like the whiteys, you want people to agree with you. I want them here because they deserve to be anywhere in the lands of the Americas. GOD BLESS the pro-illegals.

Studbolt is a P8riot , could not have said it better. I also have seen it in person. I have always said the brown skins are hated on both sides of the border by whiteys.
