Its possible but only a Psychologist can tell you. You should schedule an appt. Maybe you just need to see a counselor or need medication for some depression. Its nothing to feel bad about. I am the exact same way as you described. I have my very high days and very low days. I effexor in the daytime and klonopin at night and it really helps me but only a psychologist should tell you if you need medicene or what he thinks a good recovery plan would be for you. Good Luck hun.

You could have bi-polar, sometimes called manic-depression. However, it depends on the severity of the symptoms that you've listed. You may not have anything and be quite normal.
Like the others have said, only a quilified professional could tell you. Let me rephrase that: only a "good" professional can tell you.
When people go to classes, such as the ones that you are talking about, more often than not, they come out thinking they have the diseases that they have been studying.

Ok, listen to me...
You don't have Multiple Personality Disorder. This is a serious disorder in which a person has more than one personality (usually over ten) where each identity does not have any recolection of the other's actions or mentallity.
You just have a simple self-esteem issue. Some days you are feeling low in confidence and you don't want to see anyone, don't feel like talking to people, and being a loner. In other times when you are feeling high in confidence in yourself, you want to whole world to see, meet new people, and have fun. Just think about it
I used to think I had two personalities but in the end its just about self-esteem.

I didn't think split/dual personalities was a real disorder.
It could be bipolar disorder. Did you have these negative thoughts before you took the course?
You could be depressed, and have some good days. Either way, it wouldn't hurt to talk to a therapist. If you are bipolar you may need medication. Severe depression needs medication too. Better to be safe than sorry.

I have Dissociative Identity Disorder, the correct name for split personalities and bipolar. What you're describing really seems much more like bipolar to me, it sounds like you may be rapid cycling if it changes so suddenly. My guess is bipolar with rapid cycling, not DID, but do talk to a psychiatrist.

nah i had the same thing, its depression
Also, its so much better if you talk to someone about your feelings, especially your parents. its very unhealthy to be depressed which i have been for about 2 years. I actually got the courage to get help and i went to a psychiatrist. he helped me alot, he listeneed towhat I had to say and what was problems in my life.
he also perscribed me some meds to relax and its been pretty good so far.

Sarah, sit back and think about yourself. Ask yourself "Alice" do I feel that I have multiple personalities. If "Mary answers yes, believe her.
Seriously though. There is no one on this site qualified than can answer your question. If you have concerns, set up an appointment with a professional.
