Too many people trying to be politically correct and forgetting that Christianity is what our country is about. Christmas is our christian holiday and should always be referred to as Christmas. If it isn't someone else's due to other religious beliefs or lack of, they need to ignore it or relocate somewhere else. We shouldn't be changing our religious holidays to accommodate others. Jews have never had a problem with our Christmas. They celebrate their Hanukkah. This only seems to have come up with the influx of muslims. But I don't see anyone who doesn't believe in our customs not take the days off we offer for those very same holidays. A bit two faced, I would add.

You know, people like you irritate me. You are soooo hung up on being slighted (whether it was done intentionally or not) that you don't even realize when you are doing the same thing to other people. I totally understand the "holiday" tree thing...it IS a Christmas tree for crying out loud...but there are other holidays...is it really wrong to call it a "Holiday" Break since some children, including mine, are celebrating Hannukah this time of year? Why does the fact that we don't celebrate Christmas make us any less American than you are? Why should we not be welcome in this country?...Use the message of this time of year to start thinking about your fellow man, would ya?

It used to be a Yule tide tree when Pagans called the shots, accept that the Christian thing is coming unraveled, it's evolution baby. Oh and Happy Yule!

Because some jerks objected top the Christian aspect.....so most publicly funded institutions have to "de-Christianize" holidays.
