He should pass it ok as it's a round smooth object. Ring your doctors just in case but they will most likely tell you to keep an eye on his bowel movements and if they change(become runny or constipated) go to the er. My daughter was 19 months old when she swallowed a 20 cent piece. We didn't even know she did until she passed it. I would think that a marble would be easier to pass than a coin. Good luck.

I just saw a thing on TV about a little girl swallowing a coin. The mom called the doctor and the doctor said the coin would pass through her system eventually and not to worry. Well, three days later the child started gagging noises and acting sick. The mom took her to the ER and X-Rays showed the coin lodged in her esophagus! So, go get an X-Ray despite what the doctor says.

I would recommend going to the doctor. The marble could get lodged in the intestines/digestive tract since he is so petite. They may send him to get an xray if the marble has not passed in 24 hrs..Former nurse

If he is not choking than he hsould be fine, it will mak its way through his system and pass it out with a BM. If he seems diffrent though or his BM change i would take him to the hospital. It should be through in the next couple days

You're going to have to go through his bowel movements to be sure. I'd imagine by 48 hours it should pass. Be sure he IS going, belly will get firm if there is a blockage.
If little one starts to act odd, go to the dr.

Hi
if his 'toilet' routine changes - take him to hospital
if it stays the same it should pass withing 24-36 hours - as it is round it is unlikely to do damage - it will either pass or block..
Give him food like fruit - avoid binding foods like egg.
IF IN DOUBT - HOSPITAL

This is the second time you've asked this. If no one has responded, then no one else has dealt with this. Call the pediatrician and ask for his/her advice. It's your child.
