If he is breathing fine and not complaining, he should be okay
if ur really worried, then rush him to the hospital, but be calm about it!

If you really think that he swallowed it (and a three year old will tell you if he thinks he wont get in trouble)than you will have to check his stools for the next few days to make sure that he passed it. Not a fun job but sometimes we parents do get the short end of the stick.

My cousin swallowed a marble when he was younger and it started breaking down in his stomach. He had to be operated on. It may pass but i would keep an eye on him. Ask him.
