1) he is always staring at me when i walk by in the hall.
2) gives me a big smile and a wave every morning.
3) always stands by me in the morning
*he might not be trying to get closer to me because i havent shown him any signs that i am interested yet, well maybe a little bit but i am a very confusing person when i like someone*

Then you need to be less confusing, don't you? It is time to talk to him when he stands by you or at least to wave and smile back. Smile if he stares at you and wave then, too. He has stepped up and shown some interest, it is now your turn to encourage him if you are interested. These kinds of approaches are always awkward and the person who comes out and shows even the mildest signs of interest (and he is interested) feel really exposed and vulnerable to rejection. There are so many questions in YA from guys who say "I smile, I wave, I look - and I am still not sure how she feels!" So give him a break - talk to him. Talk about a class you both have, a teacher, the football or basketball team, the lunch food - anything. Weather, even. All of it is OK to start a small conversation with. It takes a while to build up to major interests and things either one of you is reallu enthusiastic about and get an animated conversation going - so take the first small step and ask how he is doing or mention the wind is really blowing things around in the courtyard outside or something!

I would have to agree with all the others its definately sounds like he is interested in you. Now the question is do you like him as well. Don't leave the boy hangin on waiting for a sign from you too much longer if you like him too, you'll have to acknowledge him soon and plan to get some private time with him to talk and get to know more about him. He might like you. Try talking to him, and becoming better friends with him, then he will start to show more signs as to if he likes you...

Talk to him and if he cant talk back then you should just move on pues. He should have enough confidence to at least utter a word to you.

perhaps maybe, but it depends if hes like that to other people too. if so then no, if not then theres a chance that hes interested in you.

I think that he does like you, but all you have to do is take that chance and ask him how he feels.
