I had major surgery 6 months ago and was unable to walk or work. Her father took her into his custody while I recovered. He also was informed of all her doctor notices that came to my home. I was in and out of the hospital during this time. I am now fully recovered and starting a new job next week. Come to find out she hasn't had her 12 or 15 month shots. I called her doctor and I cant get an appointment until the next 2 weeks during work hours. I am located in Chicago and was wondering if anyone knows if I can go to a clinic and get her shots she is missing instead of waiting on her doctor and being unable to put her in daycare?

I can't believe your doctor's office won't accommodate you. Call your local health department clinic. Be sure they give you a record of the immunizations your daughter receives so they may be accurately transposed into your own doctor's database.

I wouldn't do all those catch up vaccinations at once that's for sure!! Most doctors offices do walk in shots with the nurse so you might call back and ask for that. If they don't accommodate ask them where you might take her.
