Okay as I said, I live at home. I am 22 years old, and I have recently met this new guy. We've gone on a couple of dates, and might be going out tonight. However, earlier today my mom said she wants to meet him. Is this too soon? (We've gone on 2 dates, and talked a bit online/on the phone). Should I warn him that my parents want to meet him? I'm really not sure what to do with this one! Any help would be great!

Well, the first date we met somewhere for coffee. Then the second date he picked me up and no one else was home. So there wasn't really the opportunity for her to meet him before now.

When one is living at home the rules change. But what's the big deal about it anyway.... just treat it as a formality. It's best anyway that others should know WHO your dating in this day and age in case you should meet up with some weirdo. It will only help to protect you and let this guy know that your surrounded by people who care about you, which is a GOOD thing!

i would let him know that the parents want to meet him....don't put him on the spot and just invite him when he comes to pick u up!!!! some guys are ok under pressure and others are not!!!! he may think its too soon so talk to him about and see where his head is first!!!! and let ur parents know that its only been 2 dates not 6 months!!!!!

Is he coming by your house to pick you up? If so, introduce him to your mom if she is home when he comes by. Don't make a big deal of it. If you are meeting somewhere else, you don't need to tell him anything until you are comfortable with him meeting your parents. It is early days yet.

Actually, you should have introduced him on the first date.
It doesn't mean you mom is starting the wedding plans on the first date, but it does let her get a first impression of him and to sort of get to know him a little.
