I actually think, as a athiest, that we should live and let live. If people want to worship and believe then I think that they should be free to do so, as long as they accept my right not to and do not try and impose their religion on me.

I am not sure exactly what the remark is aimed at. It seems to have been taken out of context.
However the catholic church certain have initiated and controlled several wars and Adolph Hitler was a catholic and of course the Vatican were rather hesitant to criticise the Nazi regime even when it was known that they were an evil organisation

Thoug all wars is not true. You must admit that there have been a lot of wars that have been fought due to religion. Sure also politics nd usually power
Religion and power have been entwined foever. It is also true that the Roman Catholic Church has not played a pretty part in WWII, but I would not consider it controlled by.
I think it is a view not so much in hatred for a god but a specific religion

I am an atheist, and I disagree with your interpretation of the quote.
When the quote said "all of these wars...", I do not know the context of the wars that is being referred to. If it is limited to the Crusades, I agree with the quote. If it is broader to include the current war against terrorism in Iraq, I would have to disagree.
Your interpretation that the author hates god is a fallacy. If the author was indeed an atheist, then it is unreasonable to think that one can hate something that one does not believe to exist.
It is just wishful thinking on your part.

Not all Catholics are good and not all are bad - Same goes for atheists. The Catholic church did not create Hitler. This pathetic little man was created by a race of people who believed they were above their peers-even God himself. Satan has lost many wars, and will always lose, as long as we have God! As for destroying history - Absolutely impossible! History and fate go hand in hand. And why should you bother to mention the word God, if you don't believe in his existence?

I would like to see where that quote came from. Most atheists talk about Hitler being a Christian as a response to some people claiming he was an atheists and he was motivated by atheist Ideals (Whatever they are?)
See http://www.conservapedia.org
and you'll get the idea apparently marxism and nazism are a branch of atheism.

what has god to do with history?? history is based on fact.......( or a version of it).....God is not a fact. god is an ideal.....god is people controle. God is living the easy life on the hard work of fools. God is man made and he's "teachings are moulded into what ever shape is handy at the time. he even blesses nuclear weapons y'know. and shelters paedophiles within he's ranks too. talk about suffer little children unto me.

There are varying degrees of intelligence on both sides. I only speak for myself and my beliefs. What another person thinks is their own buisiness, so long as it does not negatively effect my life.

That's pretty embarassing. I may not believe in God, but I certainly don't despise organized religion or belief in God.

This is beside the point, but if he is an atheist, he wouldn't hate your god, he doesn't believe in him, after all, he hates your religion and it's followers.
