I DON'T GET IT MYSELF! Won't somebody just please say that they'd rather sin and just stop twisting God's word! They get mad because they want to be that way but they also want the privileges of being part of God's family! Its like saying I want to be a vegetarian but I also wanna have steak once a month!
And for Pete's sake I wish I could get a dollar every time somebody said "Oh but people lie" or "What make my sin worse then yours!" I don't care if Bill Clinton stole the statue of liberty and got away with it! It does not make it okay!!!

Maybe because that is practically the only "sin" people talk about. Yet Divorce is fine. So is lying about others (false witness). According to the Bible, it's also wrong to wear mixed fabrics... to touch a dead animal or it's carcass (that means no wearing leather)... So why is it that those who point out what the Bible says about homosexuality, they completely ignore these other things the Bible says?
Basically, people are tired of the hypocritical BS. Spouting verses from a book to only support their own opinions while saying "God is against it" yet ignoring everything else their God says He is against when it is something they do. Why should people take that kind of crap? And would those same believers in the Bible sit there and listen to someone else quote their Holy Writings, telling them what is wrong with their lives? I seriously doubt it. =)

first off because it is not a cardinal sin so to concentrate on that while there is so much gluttony, materialism (coveting of goods), etc. show that those who concentrate on this lesser sin are just using it as an excuse to push their bias. Second because the same people who push this ingnore the rest of Leviticus so again they are showing a hateful bias shrouded in religious belief.
If you believe that homosexuality is wrong that's fine, (and I'm saying this as a queer woman), but why put so much energy in to it when there is so much suffering that that energy could alleviate? Why not feed the hungry, shelter all of the homeless, end all of the wars, etc. and then when everyone is taken care of come back to this lesser issue if you still want to? The only answer that is reasonable to skip over all of these blaring problems and go to this is because of hatred and personal bias, no other reason makes any lick of sence.

I don't get upset but I think there are a lot of things in the bible that aren't literally good policy in the modern world.
Deuteronomy very clearly states that if my wife can't prove she was a virgin on our wedding night, I have a right to convene the town's people to stone her to death. Even though it would be entirely within my God given right to do so, I don't think it would be moral for me to have my wife killed because she didn't save the sheets from her bridal bed.
Personally, I'm pretty sure she destroyed the evidence to hide the truth.

I would love for someone to point out to me the passage which states homosexuality is wrong. Levitcus does say "And with a man you shall not lie with as a man lies with a woman; it is an abomination". but that lets lesbians off the hook and also permits back alley "knee-tremblers" as you are not laying down.
Interestingly in Pauls Epistle to the Romans 1:26-27 he says "Because of this [idolatry], God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error." If you read this passage it is clear that God himself made homosexuals and lesbians (even if it was as a punishment), so being one could not be a sin or wrong in anyway

The ones getting upset are the ones who feel they should be able to do what they want with no accountability for their actions. They know that condoning such a lifestyle is wrong and perverse and they take offense basically at the notion that something they're doing or how they're living is wrong.

Because we live in a world where some people are homosexual. They have as much right to live a happy and peaceful life as anyone else. Why do Christians feel compelled to interfere in what anyone else does or believes?
Let them just get on with their own lives.

Because there is no logical reason for homosexuality to be wrong, so the people who say that it is wrong are just being bigots. I mean, just because a book says that something is wrong doesn't mean that it actually is wrong, especially when that "something" is as harmless as homosexual love.

The bible also says that if you touch a menstruating woman, her bed or her chair, you are equally wrong--we get upset because you make a big deal about one verse and ignore ALL the ones that say you're doing wrong as well--makes you an ignorant bigot--have a nice day!

The bible says a lot of things that just don't make any sense, and the issue about homosexuality is one of them.
