When washing my hair I focus the most on shampooing my roots because too much attention on the ends can actually break them. I condition my hair daily with a leave-in conditioner. (Such as the one from Ken Paves). And I try to let my hair air-dry as much as possible, but, when I don't, I use a generous amount of heat serum.

Also make sure you wash conditioner out well. Some excess can cause dryness and lead to split ends.

Have a good journey improving & lengthening your hair!

I have been growing my hair out.

I find that keeping my bangs trimmed helps my hair look longer :) but not getting the rest of my hair cut when I do that.

I take vitamins (a multi and extra Biotin) and just put off my haircuts until I really need one. LIke if I have an important event coming up or my ends are really bad. Then I just go in for a trim of like an inch and thats it.

As for how to make it look better? still searching. I have nasty waves underneath, and "flat" hair on top...Pfeh!!! Mine gets tangled so bad, especially at night.

1] use shampoo and comditioner for your type of hair [ dry, oily, dandruff, frizzy, etc. ]
2] suds up only scalp and roots, not shaft or ends of hair
3] condition only shaft and ends, not roots [ unless it is a prescription ]
4] blot [ not rub ] with a towel, then remove tangles with a wide tooth comb
5] air dry whenever possible
6] eat well
7] take vitamins
8] drink about 1/2 gallon of water a day
9] don't use styling products every day - go natural one or two days a week
10] get a TRIM every 6-8 weeks
