Lcd tvs are ment to be hooked up to a hd reciever cable box not basic cable I would call you cabel provider

It's the crappy standard def signal displayed on a high-resolution display. You just never noticed how bad it was.

This happens on Plasma, DLP, Tube, etc.

Plug in an antenna and scan for free HD signals or upgrade your Cable or Sat service to real HD.

Remember: standard def television was the limit of technology in 1950 and that is what we have enjoyed for 60 years.
