i really want to make my mom a dinner for tonight to suprise her. Not like full dinner but something that will fill her up.
i'm 13 and i know how to use the oven, but not that well and i don't wanna risk burning down the house or something.
does anyone know any meals that would be easy for me to cook without the oven?
thanks!

pizza casserole in a skillet! Just take some beef and brown it, drain the grease. Chop up an onion and green pepper and saute it until tender with the beef. Add a can of black olives and mushrooms and a package of pepperoni. Cook them with the beef for a few minutes, long enough to heat them up and then add a can of spaghetti or pizza sauce. Stir until bubbly. Remove mixture from stove and add shredded pizza cheese or mozzarella and cheddar or just mozz cheese. Place a lid over the skillet and let the steam melt the cheese, takes maybe 5 minutes or a little longer depending on the size of the skillet......and you have pizza casserole...

if your skillet is big enough, you can boil some egg noodles and add them to your beef mixture after you add the sauce.

If you have some toaster and some bread, just make some toast and add butter and if you can find some garlic powder, sprinkle some on your toast and viola...garlic bread without an oven!

You could get a box of Zatarain's dirty rice mix and a pound of burger. Just follow the box directions. I like it by itself for a meal, or even putting it in tortillas with cheese to make a soft taco thing. Add a green salad and that would be a nice and quick, and inexpensive meal, all on the stove top.

You could make her some spaghetti, hamburger helper. you could make some hamburgers and french fries. You could make somethng called sos. You take some hamburger meat, brown it, add some seasonings after you drain it (not down the sink by the way as it wll clog the drain), then add some cream of mushroom soup and milk to the hamburger. You want it to be kinda thick, not real soupy like. Take some bread and toast it. Serve the Hamburger meat stuff over the toast and make some side veggies. Enjoy!
Good Luck!

You could make her a really great salad with veggies and cheeses and lunch meats, like ham, roast beef or corned beef. Just don't use bologna. Don't forget croutons and bacon bits, and sliced peppers. Also a really great bread to go with that would be tortilla's. That's right, it's a great "flat bread" like the restaurants would have, or pita bread.

Just go through the fridge and pull out anything that you have in the veggie drawer, lunch meat drawer, and think fancy restaurant!!

Have Fun!!

How sweet are you!? How about some fried potatoes with onions and sausage? Just fry up the potatoes in butter with onion, add some seasoning salt, garlic powder and pepper and when they're nicely browned and tender throw in some sliced polish sausage or kielbasa (Cooked of course!)

Baked Beans on toast with an egg on top is simple. If you have any left over turkey, you could shred some and stir that in also.

oo depends on what ingredients you have!
if you have steak, just season it with salt and pepper. set aside. melt butter in a saucepan and add milk. boil. add corn and cook until milk is not visible. toss with mayo and serve next to the steak.
cook the steak in a hot pan and serve with the corn.
good luck!
