I don't remember guns being in the bible at all. Not even the movie versions with Charlton Heston in them. Surprisingly.

1) guns- The Bible says we are to walk peacefully, but it also says men are to provide, protect, and be the Spiritual leaders of their families. If you need a gun to protect your family, there is nothing wrong with that.
2) prejudices- We are not supposed to be prejudices ( for ALL have fallen short of the Glory of God ). But we are supposed to judge peoples actions. We are supposed to stay away from evil people ( can't do that without judging who is good and evil ).
3) greed- We are to never be greedy. We are to give all of our excess to God. Greed was the first sin that got satan kicked out of Heaven. All sins can be traced back to greed.

The Bible teaches us to walk in love, but love cannot be silent when someone is on a path that will condemn them forever.People's actions are not genetic and thus something that a person chooses to do or not to do.
We cross the line if we raise arms against them. In that case we would be in the wrong, but to warn someone to turn from their evil ways is not prejudice.
The Bible teaches that we are to protect our families, but that does not include bearing arms for the purpose of going out and harming others.

Evidently. Isn't it the ones who thump or hump it the hardest that support capital punishment and the gun lobby? Isn't it the Bible Belters who (despite the fact that of course they NEVER judge anyone for their behavior--ha, ha, ha!) continue to try to block legislation granting equality to gay people? It was a Xian Church in the south (Rev. Phelps cozy little Xian nook!) that dug up the bodies of persons who died of AIDS and burned them in a pile on the highway. It's the Xians who go around this country protesting the funerals of our fine soldiers who have given their lives for Bushie's useless war.

The same Xians are now amassing $$$ to build a monument to the three boys who murdered Matthew Sheppard. After all, these poor boys were set upon by that evil, sex-crazed young man and then were harassed and demonized by the press. You know how discriminated against those poor Xians are in the US where they number only 80% of the population! Well, don't you?

The Bible teaches to love that which is righteous, hate that which is evil and to give and it shall be given unto you pressed down, shakin' together until overflowing.

No,

Reams of verses in both books on prejudice and greed.
" He who uses the sword will die by the sword!" I'm sure that applies to handguns and assault rifles as well.

Cheers,

NO. Of course not. Glad you asked tho.
God in His holy word, The Bible, doesnt encourage us to carry guns, But HE warns us how those that are rebellious against Him , will want to hurt us. But, HE shows us just how to go about it, and fight the battle the way that honors Him. THe Bible tells all about it, I pray you will read it and see for yourself. Never let others tell you what the Bible says. Find out for yourself. Do we have prejudices? NO, GOd says we are all created equal and He loves us all the same. But we do hate sin, and we name sin as sin the way God commanded us to do. So if I say adultry is sin, that person in adultry may hate me and call me hateful. But no, as with any sin, we speak because we love them and wants to show them a bettery way out of ALL sin. Does God teach us to be greedy? OK MY GOSH< NO. But it is ok to name and claim all the promises of God to meet all of our needs to be able to do all He calls us to do, to be prosperous in all things, be they finances, health, wisdom, knowledge, discernment, ALL of it.
God doesnt want us living in lack, but while we are in lack, we can still be joyful and happy and stilll praising God, while waiting for MORE to come.
God wants us to have all the things He promises to us to help us. He wants us to have nothing broken, and nothing needing to be fixed, and if we are in Love with Him enough to full trust Him, obey Him and do things His way, we will always be blessed to overflow, and then we can bless others by sharing what we have, and praying God to bless them. But its all a choice. If ppl dont want to recieve a thing from God, they wont. But we can keep praying.
Great question. Thanks.

No, it does not.
It teaches us to treat others as we want to be treated.
It teaches us NOT to be greedy.

Guns had not been invented when the Bible was written.
Are you unaware of that? It's true. They had not been invented yet.
