There is more to being a Marine than being cocky. Humility is a much more keen attribute. ********* & attiude is for those that wish to be Marines (they feel they need to prove somethin). We are already there we don't need to prove anything we wear our title!
Now with that being said. I'm sure you have 10 days of leave. Enjoy them. The real work comes once you reach the FMF. Which comes after MOS school.
As a female Marine you are expected to conduct yourself to a higher standard. Prepare menatlly for this because this will make you or break you as a Marine.

youre feeling like a KILLER!! thats what it is! OORAH and left right left and EYEBALLS CLICK!! And Ears OPEN! its what youve been molded to do. It has been your life for the past 3 months. Its called motivated. You have a reason to be cocky and hold your head up high. The first thing you should do is go see your recruiter so you can try to get recruiters assistance before you go to MCT in 8 days. Maybe you can hang out there for a month. Thats if you have a recruiting station close by. Well congats you freakin boot! Hope you have fun in the Corps. Love every minute and dont ever regreat it or be a terd. The Corps is what you make of it. Be Hard and motivated 100% set the example, remember to be a leader and dont let anyone talk you out of being m otivated its you that will make your time good not anyone else.

Just chill, relax on boot leave and enjoy it. Remember to pack your boots and utes on top of your seabag before you step off to MCT because you'll be changing out of your alphas almost as soon as you get there. If you aren't a contract PFC remember you have 2 more chances to pick up, if you make guide or squad leader at MCT you should get it ( or at least a meritorious mast) and secondly if you place top 2 or 3 in MOS school there's your other shot. Play your cards right and you might even be able to make lance cooley by the time you're done with school. Congrats and good luck.

I'm very proud of you, as is everyone else I'm sure. I leave for boot camp in January. I am so excited, I know it will be pure hell but I want the title of United States Marine more than anything.

Way to go Devil Dog.

Oorah! Congras! You just gave me more motivation. I can't wait to become a Marine. I don't know what day you are on for leave but you should relax a little and then start to exercise before you to go MCT. That's what my friend did when he came back.

What do you mean "what am I supposed to be doing"? Don't you have a specific job in the Marine Corp? Yeah, I am sure you are going to feel real cocky on your way over to Iraq.

I would think you should be preparing for MOS school or ITR.. Do BAM's even go through ITR or is that just for the guys ?

In any case, congrats on making it through boot camp. The memory of all that should fade rather rapidly, once you finish with training and on to a duty station.

Relax a little. If things haven't changed, you should have 10 days leave before you go to MOS school.

Congrats and Semper Fi.

Marine Brittany...THANK YOU for serving our country in the world's BEST military and the U.S. military's BEST fighting force.
Take you leave and RELAX, do some work outs to keep in shape, though.
To this old 'swab jocky', the U.S. Marines are MY heroes!

Go to www.sgtgrit.com, take a look, sign up for their news letter. Oh, and keep a box of tissues nearby for when you read some of them. Very touching. I've used a few myself.
