why do guy's lie so much??

It seems as if my BF lies a lot. Even if I catch him in a lie he still tries to lie guys why does he do this???

My answer to you is why do you allow him to lie to you? People... guys as well as girls, will lie because they can do what they want as long as you allow them to get away with it. Sorry but that's the truth. You have to step up and take control of your situations. Don't put up with any nonsense!! Tell your guy that if he lies to you one more time he can just find his a s s to the door cause you are not going to be in a relationship built on lies and non trust. I guarantee you that if you lied to him he would not hesitate to show you the door so why are you going to put up with it? Tell him you deserve to be in a positive, loving relationship. No if, ands or buts about it. If he is a good guy he will understand how you feel, and take positive steps to change, {that's a keeper} but if he's a loser then he's one less loser you have to deal with in your life. Be fair - it's not just guys who lie. Honesty is something everyone says they want, but it can make you pretty unpopular if you aren't tactful. Everybody has different reasons for lying, but that doesn't mean there aren't guys out there who can't tell the truth. Most people are less likely to lie if they are secure in their relationships, so you might want to rethink your choice in BF's if this one continues to do it. Sounds like he doesn't value you much if it still happens.

Everyone lies. Maybe not the way your BF does but we all do once in a while. I just don't get why some women like sticking with jerks and lower their self-esteem.

They do it because they'd rather continue lying than be exposed as a liar. Men never admit to lying as this would make them feel small, so they swear black is white and refuse to back down. You can confront them with the most damning evidence and they will still attempt to wriggle out of it with the most ridiculous and obvious lies. No real explanation for it.

Your experience with ONE guy does not extrapolate to ALL guys. In your case, the fact that you twist words around so much might make him feel he has to lie to avoid the hassle that's sure to follow if he tells the truth.

i'll give you the truth right here...as a reformed liar.

i think that lying has to do with the early up bringing of a child, you see, when i was a small boy, and i did something bad, i got beat...therefore to protect my butt, i began to lie...

later in life this translated to not having to deal with the true consequences of my actions, by covering up my role in something, which then just followed right into my dating life...dont want to deal with an upset girlfriend or deal with her reaction to things, well just lie.

i only refromed myself more recently when my psycharatrist fiancee kept nailing me more for everytime i lied, more heavily than she would have had i told the truth...so now, i just say the truth, as painful as it can be, its better to me, than to deal with her wrath if i am caught lying.

because he is afraid of sharing the truth. and he's hiding something from you. its probably just a kinky thing he has, but you might want to ask him what he's hiding. and tell him he can be totally honest with you and you won't hold anything against him. and if he still lies or says no, then dump him.

It's not just guys who lie. My ex-wife conceived the child of her "friend" while we were still "deciding whether or not to work it out", but still denies doing anything wrong.

You deserve better. Dump his lying *** and get yourself someone who is at least adult enough to tell the truth.

There a couple answers for it.... One he don't want you to get mad at him so he lies. Two he thinks he's slick. And three he feels like your never going to find out if he does lie.
