Actually, being from arkansas, it is YOU ALL said fast. so couldnt be y all. that would be Y ALL. So YA all is closer, but its not ya all either, it is YOU ALL> SO ITS YU ALL>
Hope that helps ya. Probalby depends in just which part of the south you are from too, to just exactly how fast they say it and how they say it. I have noticed that accents even with certain parts of the state change, let alone from state to state.
Just know it means YOU ALL, meaniang all.
so when you say YOU ALL COME< it means all of you come . What a welcomging thing to hear. Most southerners are very friendly ppl. Wish we could all have that attitude to be loving and welcoming to everyone. to ALL .
You All come to Jesus today, and KNow of His love, and then You ALL will be loving and accpeting ppl too.
God is good.
You all come now ya hear.????? Blessings upon you to overflow.

Y'all. It's a contraction of the words "you" and "all". The apostrophe always takes the place of the missing letters. You+all= y'all.

One would suspect that since this particular bit of vernacular is an abbreviation of "you all," the proper form would be "y'all," since the apostrophe is an indication of where the deleted letters would normally go.

The apostrophe means 'missing letter(s)'
The full phrase is "you all"
The "o" and "u" are missing, so it's y'all.
