Keep her off the foot today (put her somewhere where she will stay down) and take her to the vet ASAP.

Often, they will have a cut instead of actually something "in" the foot and this can vary in severity from very severe and infected to just painful. But only the vet can diagnose and treat, so please do that... go to the vet.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the title of this question. Why on Earth would you turn to a computer if you feel there's an emergency happening?? Ever heard of a vet?

Your dog may not necessarily have stepped on anything, there are other causes of limping. See a vet.

Cany is correct. She has a foot injury that is causing pain. Pain (in both dogs and humans) is the way that the body is saying "Hey, somethings wrong... take care of it!".

Sorry to hit you in the pocketbook this close to Christmas, but you need for the vet to check her. It may not only save a large vet bill later, but also possibly save an amputation!

Good luck!

You're right, this could be an emergency, take your dog to the vet. If there's something in her paw it will become infected and should be removed sooner rather than later. Good luck.

Take her to the vet; she's probably in pain and you don't want her to bite you for messing with her hurt foot.

The vet can muzzle her or give her a sedative/painkiller and examine her foot.

Keep her off the injured foot as best as you can, and bring her to the vet ASAP or it might get infected. If you need to you should put on a muzzle or make one, http://www.ehow.com/how_2529_muzzle-dog.html.

Take her to the vet is the best thing to do.
