I dont wanna limit myself but somehow i can only imagine myself being attracted to a certain category of guys. i hope it's not a fetish. some people might think it's different or weird or whatever.
i like dark skinned guys. i m hispanic. (oh and by the way i m also confused. i do like dark guys yet somehow i dont wanna be with a hispanic guy) i like black guys, native american guys, and arab guys. it's really unique.
the question is: why m i attracted to them?
u might think this q belongs in the relationships section but i want a psychological prespective.

You may just subconsciously be seeking a richer heritage, better genes for your future children, etc. But steer clear of ignorance.

You are hispanic and like certain guys who are not hispanic. I'm half white and tend to like girls who are white. These are just preferences and outwardly I don't know that anything is wrong. However, if your family is adamant about you dating hispanic guys only, maybe you feel trapped or that they are limiting your options. A very natural response, if your family doesn't listen to your concerns is, to step over and beyond those boundaries.

U like who u like. It's not weird, it's just who u are attracted to.
...As far as why u like them, it could any one of a million different reasons. It really doesn't matter why. Maybe it's your subconscious still liking to be unique. Maybe the taboo feeling of dating a different race excites u (I hate when people say that, lol). Maybe the guys u like are just hot!!! As u get older your taste in men may change, then again maybe it won't. Make yourself happy, don't worry about what other people think.

No, its not a fetish nor is it weird. As a man, I'm also attracted to certain types of women. Perhaps, you might find these men that you're attracted to as exotic, which subconsciously generates that attraction. For ex, white men consider asian women exotic and find them attractive. Asian men consider white women exotic and are attracted to them.....and the list goes on

Could be any number of reasons. It could have roots in your upbringing (did your parents particularly like/dislike dark skinned people?) or maybe it's as simple as experience: you had a good experience with a dark skinned person and a not so pleasant one with a light-skinned person. Either way, I wouldn't worry too much.

I know that there are times when we can't help who we're attracted to but don't' limit yourself. Love may come in a color you never thought of before.

there's no need to worry, everyone has their own preferences, they might change, they might not. just go with them it doesn't matter what other people think its up to you. as for why you do, i can't really help but if it feels right go for it, skin colour doesn't matter, its whats on the inside that truly matters

My gf is dark but I get attracted to white women more, befire i used to get attracted to dark ones more as well..
