I had two interviews today and they both said that they would get back to me with in a week. would it be unprofessional if I called back to see how the decision is going or if have been employed?

Do both of the above! Send a thank you and then call after a week. It makes you look professional and motivated to get the job.

Don't call back too early or too frequently. That makes you look desparate and unprofessional.

Don't call before the week is up, but do send them a note thanking them for their time and espressing your interest in being hired. Do that today, or tomorrow at the latest.

Wait one week before you call, give them a chance to call first. Then by all means I would call, just incase they are still deciding or undicided, it will bring your name up again fresh In there mind. Good Luck!
