A new high capacity disc that is capable of showing movies in high definition, due to its high storage capabilities, and high data transfer rate. Only Blu-ray players, or drives can read Blu-ray discs. Highest capacity Blu-ray disc is a dual layered 50 GB disc. Competing high capacity disc is HD DVD.
