We have 37 states that have borders or open coastlines. That's a BIG wall!

How would it float in the middle of the Rio Grande? Would we put up a wall all the way around Florida to keep out the Cubans? And don't forget the Gulf of Mexico...a wall along the coast would do the trick?

How about Hawaii???? Islands, yet.

Or, Alaska and it's islands.

And, how do you built a fence that can't be blown up?

The whole thing is ridiculous. Our border with Mexico is 2,950 miles long. All along that border there is free range used by ranchers and others on both sides of the line. They won't fence or wall it.

The dopes with no brains are being sold a bill of goods.

I don't have an answer, but I AM laughing my butt off at all the airheads blaming Bush for there not being a wall. For God's sake, people...it would be Congress that legislates such things. And if Bush vetoed funds for a wall / fence his vetos can be overridden. At least familiarize yourselves a tiny bit with how our government works and stop blaming everything from your receding hairline to diaper rash on Bush.

Oh, BTW...the Rio Grande along our border with Mexico is like six inches deep when it floods. Not much of a problem there for putting up a fence.

Those are good questions. The answer in one case is.. a fence. Where used, that fence is stopping the dope smugglers, and dropping the rate of crime in all of the communities along the US_Mexican Border. And the fence is errected in the United States rather than on the border itself. And, finally, it won' be errected everywhere.. but it will be done in areas where the traffic is higher.

Per Florida. Fences.. boats, planes.. all work. We shall use them to.

How about a long fence in the Canadian border. Why you only going after Latinos?

We are not. Snow above your head does a fine job as a fence up north. But in reality.. 95% of the trouble comes at the Mexican Border. Most of the narcotics.. most of the people, and we want it stopped.

The same way the Japanese are building a landing strip in the ocean. That's how one builds a wall in the water ways. I take it, by your question, that you don't watch very many educational programs regarding such things though. Japan is also building upward instead of outward due to shortage on land space, and urban spaces to build on.

We need to build the wall, and then the fence on top of the wall to cover all the borders.

Since America is one of the greatest countries in the world they should have a monstrous wall with electricity that runs through it. The electricity should be so powerful that you can feel the effects 5 miles from the border.

Walls and fences are not made to keep things out they are made to keep things in. It is no better an idea that putting R.F.ID chips in U.S. citizens. Both idea's only in trap the people of the country. It dosent matter. Their econemy is going to be better in a few years, because ours is going down the tube because of war that can't be won.

Just to add to your outrage I watched on CSPAN at a Senator from Texas displayed the wall his company would build. Why is he allowed to vote for a wall in Senate and they be granted money to build a billion dollar a mile wall. I found this to be completely a conflict of interest. I hope we still obtain bids from the best not a private bid in congress from an elected rep.

Dude....relax the fence is under control. Once Bush leaves office you will see it start to speed up. We only need a fence with the border to Mexico right now. When that's completed we will see if more is needed.
