All you need to do is bow your head and say "Dear heavenly Father. Once you say those words the heavens are opened for you to talk to your Creator. Always end your prayers by saying "Through Christ our Lord I pray". All prayers need to go through Jesus since he is our mediator. God Bless

If it helps you, try this: pretend you are making a phone call. Begin your call with "Dear Father who is in heaven" and go on from there. Tell him what you are involved in. Tell him how you feel about things. Especially tell him that you want to be saved and know him better so you'll have a blessed prayer life.
Many people pray better by reading the Bible first, then they pray based on what they just read. If a warning applies to them, they pray for help regarding it. If a promise applies to them, they thank God for the wonderful promise. And so on.
I hope these suggestions help you have a terrific prayer life!

It's very simple - DW has it right. Just talk. You don't need special words or places or ceremonies or blah blah blah. Just talk to God like he's your buddy. He'll listen. He may not talk back - but you'll know he's listening. And you'll get answers. Sometimes a thought will pop into your head. Sometimes a person you meet says something that makes sense to you. Sometimes you might actually hear a still, small voice. It's all good. Have fun!

Talking with God is easy. Begin a conversation, just as you would with a friend.
Sometimes it helps me to show up at the same place, at the same time everyday. For instance, if you always talk to God before you go to sleep or when you wake up, or to go to my living room and sit in the same chair at the same time each day. All of these are just rituals that help ME make contact. God is always there for you, whenever, whereever and however you choose to talk with God. God is there, just waiting for you to ask and be open.
Try it. As Nike commercials say: Just do it!

Just pray to him He hears our prayers.
Ask Him straight up, by saying O God creator of the heavens and the earth. Praise Him for all the things He has blessed you with then ask what you need..do not go through Jesus. He was just a prophet(as) a human being who cannot harm you or help you. But you could say Lord of Jesus(peace be upon him)
Straight to God almighty.
Good luck.

Absolutely. You can talk to God any time at any place. God loves you. You don't have to use special words or certain ways...Here are some ways to communicate with your Heavenly Father:
1. talk to Him in your thoughts
2. read His word
3. Start a "Dear God" journal and write down your prayers.
4. Pray when you are alone or afraid.
5. Talk to Him just as if you were speaking to someone you completely trust
God will never let you down. He loves YOU.

we all can talk to God in prayer......... it's like calling someone on the phone, you need certain requirements. Like the proper number and zone number to make the right connection.
A primary requirement is that we exercise faith. (Mark 11:24) The apostle Paul wrote: “Without faith it is impossible to please [God] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.”
It also requires that those who approach him in prayer do so with humility and sincerity
Another requirement for being heard by God is that we act in harmony with our prayers. For example, if we pray, “Give us today our bread for this day,” we must work hard at whatever available job we are able to perform.

Apparently some persons can talk to God (or think they talk to God) in their brains/minds/heads.
Many persons try it and nothing happens.
Others try it and apparently one part of the human brain tends to talk with another part of the human brain and some of them tend to say it's God speaking to them as in:
the Lord told me this and that/whatever.
Others simply say it's themselves speaking to themselves and view it all as a normal process of internal dialogue with themselves.
Many persons simply decide to slowly read the Bible and let the words of the Bible enter their thoughtlife.
