give me instructions on how to have an out of body experience? (OOBE) and have you ever had one? please be serious! i really want to do this. i need to see my mother who lives in tennessee and i live in texas. i seriously think she might be dying or in big trouble. please help.

There is a lot of information on astral travel and OBEs on the Internet. From what I understand it takes a lot of time and practice. I have tried, and based on what I read, I have been close. Unfortunately the fear of the unknown overwhelms me and I stop before I get there.
I think it's great that you want to learn how to astrally project, but I agree with the others who advise you to get there in the physical.

You have to learn to meditate first. Once you learn that it is just the next step. It took me over a year to meditate properly and a few more months to have an out of the body experience. If you are really concerned about your mother call the local police department and tell them you are concerned about your mother's well being and ask them to check on her welfare.

The ability for astral projection isn't learned overnight. For starts, read a book on the subject. If your mother is in trouble, your physical presence is what's needed, not an astral projection. Call Mom or a close relative if you can't get there.

When you are out of your body, you cannot contact someone (you'll have no body, remember?). It is better to use the phone. If you think it's an emergency, call the local police in the area to investigate.
