Woman insulted me, I reacted. So what?

I have thinning hair. so while shopping one day with my wife, some rude woman, who doesn't even know me, out of nowhere, decides to say to me "boy, you're going bald. you really oughta think about implants". I look her up and down and say back to her " boy, you're really flat chested. YOU oughta think about implants". everyone around me gasped like I just crucified Jesus myself. Why the hell can she ***** insult me and have me get laughed at but I cannot insult her. I know some of you are going to say that i should have been the better person and let it go but *** that. She humiliated me. Unfortunately for her, she walked out of that store more humiliated than me.

I am not at all condoning her action! However, I think you missed the point! Perhaps she was in the business of treating baldness by hair implants or working in such a place. She probably saw you as a prospective client and that was the reason she approached you! I doubt very much if she said that to insult you. I think you are very sensitive to the fact that you are balding and anyone that refers to this fact gets blasted! Perhaps her approach was wrong, she should have introduced herself and asked your permission to discuss hair treatment etc. However, even you should have politely asked her to explain her remark before squeezing the temper trigger!!!

Well I am overweight and have had people make rude comments to me, so I know how you feel for someone to say something like to you. You had every right to fire back at her. People today think too much on apperance is the problem who cares if someone you know or don't know is going bald or is fat etc. We need to go back to the old saying if you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all.
