between us because we are talking since september but he doesn't ask me out and he does act like if we are dating and he grabs my hands and everything but I really want to ask him now....any suggestions?

There is nothing esle u can do but just asking him bluntly
If u ask indirectly he will give u an indirect answer & continu acting indirect as he is at the moment.
It cld b he aint sking u out coz he is just having a bit of fun wit a close friend. Mayb that is how he expresses how close u r to him, as a friend & u r readibg too much into it & u r expecting too much from him

I insist on one thing........Please maintain your faminine dignity and don't ask.Refrain from this.Let him be the initiator to let you know if he is going to have a serious relationship. You must maintain your own image/dignity .......giving him sufficient wisdom from your style of behaviour that you are not easily avalable , neither are you as cheap as he may be thinking.....also, you are not to be taken for ganted.
Please don't be afraid of losing him.If at all, he disappears in the mean while , it is good for you ...in the sense that his real colour is made visible well ahead ,I mean, before you are shocked and before your self esttem is hurt .

Just ask him out before someone else catches his eye (speaking from experience here, btw)
Yes, it'll feel awkward, but that one step will make a world of difference.
If he really likes you as much as he acts like he does, he'll say yes.

ask him out on a friday, and say he is sweet and stuff, thats pretty much all you can do if you wanna go out, but he isn't making the move.
