i make 11.50 hr. work 40hr week how much should be deducted from my check i have two girls and my wife can someone help me or give me an idea on a % they take?

You can go to paycheckcity.com and enter your info, and get a good idea of what your takehome will be.

There will be 7.65% deducted for social security and medicare.

If that's your total joint income, you shouldn't end up owing any federal income tax, and actually should be eligible for an earned income credit. Depending on what you put on your W-4, they might withhold some, but if they do, you'll get it back as a refund, plus the EIC. If they are withholding federal income tax, you can change your W-4 so they won't.

You will likely owe some state tax though to NC.

It all depends on what you claimed on you W-4 form.
