"First real meal" you've had in at least a week. Well if you were not drinking properly like you were not eating properly, then your body started to save (retain) water. and you now realise it with the nice meal you had yesterday. Drink and eat well, your body automatically began to react to your bad eating habits. You'll probably loose 4 or 5 by tonight or tomorrow. Live Well, ;-)

The answer is pretty simple. All the food and liquids you ate and drank weighed 5 pounds. Since you put 5 pounds of food in your body, you'll weigh 5 pounds more. But as soon as you go to the bathroom a couple of times, most of that 5 pounds will leave your body (don't mean to be gross). Don't confuse this with gaining weight. Your weight will fluctuate everyday as you put stuff in your body, and out of your body. What you're concerned with is your body processing excess food and storing it as fat...now that would be bad. But don't worry about last night. That's normal. Just don't do it everyday for the next 6 weeks! :-)

Quit worrying - you'll probably be down 4 of those pounds by tomorrow. But it sounds like maybe you are worring way too much about your weight, if this was the first real meal you've had in a week. That can really ruin your health. Take care of yourself.

The salt in the food you ate will make your body retain water as it tries to dilute the salt and protect your kidneys. So strange as it may sound you need to drink more water so your body can get back in balence. The more water you drink the more water your body will release. Just drink 6 eight oz glasses of water today and you should see a difference tomorrrow.

Take that same plate of food and put it on the scales. You will come up right about that amount, go take a good one and the weight will go back the other way.

If you havent really eaten much for the past week and then whatever you ate yesterday, your body is trying to store energy for use later...that might be why you have gained some weight...

Your body had been in starvation mode. Unhealthy eating habits, such as starving yourself is a mental problem and you should seek some help for it. As your parents for help.

yes, but that's not really putting weight on, most of it comes out the next day. Most peoples weight can fluctuate up and down 7lbs per day.
