The very best is at 5AM on this Friday. The door breaker items (limited quantity but very desirable merchandise) are available then at dirt-cheap prices.
I predict that even after today there will be a lot of desperation sales this season so if you missed that don't give up hope.
The best time in general is right after they start announcing there will be a new model of some popular electronics item. If you are willing to buy the previous model you will usually find stores have cut prices to clear out the older one.
