For the past four days, me and my brother have been planning on going shoppping at like four am on black friday (today). All of my friends were going with their parents or sisters or whatever, so I was going with my brother. Last night, at like midnight, he decides he doesn't want to get up that early and so we're not going. I'm really, really mad at him because of this, if he had told me earlier, I could have gone with my friends! He doesn't think he did anything wrong and is making it seem like I'm the one who did something wrong. Do I have the right to be angry? Or am I just being spoiled?

The reason I didn't go without him, is because I don't have a car! I had no other way of getting around to my friends, or else I wouldn't be so upset.

You have the right to be angry, but I wouldn't carry it too far. It is, after all shopping, and not worth any serious trouble within the family. Let him know you're angry, tell him why, but then just drop it. There are plenty of shopping days left until Christmas.

You have the right to be upset and to tell him that. Just don't let it become a road block for the week-end. The world will not end. Look at the bright side. You got more sleep and saved some money, missed the crowds, and believe me there will still be more junk for you to buy later. And a brother is a treasure, and even though he can really be irritating sometimes....don't forget to tell him you love him.

You do have the right to be mad. I to have an older brother that has done the same thing. Instead of yelling at him or getting an attitude though, just sit him down and talk to him and let him know that it really hurt your feelings. Let him know that he needs to respect you more than that. Ever since i told my brother that, it hasn't happened again. Don't act mad at him anymore!!! That is what will really make him think about what he has done. Good luck girl.

I'd say you have the right to be annoyed and maybe a little pissy for a day or two, but it ain't that big of a deal. He canceled plans, it happens. After eating all that food, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to think about shopping. It really isn't worth all that anger.

Your brother is wrong. You have every right to be angry, and no you are not being spoiled. It was wrong of him to inform you he wasn't going after it was too late for you to make other plans.

Well, angry is the wrong term, a little pissed maybe. Tommorow you'll have forgotten, remember, he's your brother, he loves you, and wouldnt want you to be mad at him. Dont get angry this time, if he cancels something again, ask him why, and say you get quite hurt when he does it.
xxgood luck!

You have the right to be angry because he told you he would go somewhere with you and last minute he changed his mind.

He should have given you at least more notice or he should come up with a better excuse then he's lazy!

Sounds like to me that your brother is selfish and keeping his word doesn't mean anything to him.

I would be furious.... Do you realize how many deals he made you miss out on? Wow!! I got all my Christmas shopping done for the whole 16 person family for a little under $600. I don't ever get out that cheap. Make him give you the extra money that it is going to cost you to buy them now after the door buster deals.

It was selfish and thoughtless of him, i would really explain to him, he will end up doing this again and again = keeping his options open to the last minute and stuffing up other peoples. he is your brother though so dont let it get out of hand.

Tweeter4s answer is perfect i think.
