Try one of those igloo dog houses and throw a kingsize blanket in there with some warm water bottles. Cheapest thing is to bring them inside (maybe in a garage, at least if you have one. And if the garage is cold too, that's better than being in driving coldwinds, the dogs will stay warmer when there's no wind blowing on them, I think they can deal with that better.) I keep my dogs in side all the time, they are 3 little 30 lbs dogs, mind you but last winter I was taking care of a dog that was close to 80 lbs and I baby-gated her out in the hallway, because I didn't want her to get cold. But if you can't bring them inside, because not everyone can.... get them something to keep them warm outside.

You can go here http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html and go to your towns pet section, there are sometimes insulated doghouses and dog sweaters, blankets and etc. They are often sold for cheap because the owners of them don't need them, are moving and so on.
I recommend that you get them a doghouse preferably one made of wood. Fill it with straw or cut tall grass thats growing outside, and put it in the dogs' house. Hammer a piece of a rug or carpet to the doghouse door to keep the warmth in. You can just get one, so your dogs can keep each other warm.
My dogs live outside all winter, and I live in northern Manitoba Canada. My dogs are always OK. I'm sure that your winters are warmer than mine are, so I really don't think that you should worry too much about this, as long as you get them a doghouse, straw, and a door flap.
Good Luck!!!

Item 1) Get your own place ASAP so you can bring your dogs in when you need to.
Item 2)You can try finding some warm sturdy blankets that you won't mind getting dirty in the meanwhile.
Item 3) This is something I saw suggested elsewhere. You could try getting bales of hay or straw to insulate your dogs' houses.
Item 4) You might even look into getting some of those hunter's cushions that get warm when you sit on them. My mother did that for an old cat who didn't want to come inside, and it worked well for him.
Good luck!

If it is just for during walks, or well it is going to the bathroom, you could get a dog jacket. My dog has had one for about 5 years and it's still in great condition. I believe we got it at PetSmart. The sizes go by the kind of dog also, so you may want to call ahead of time because they do run out of more common dog types/sizes. Hope I helped!

Buy a really strong and tough dog house, bigger than your dogs...you can make one out of wood....
and then line the dog house with hay or straw
and for the "door" get those plastic strips...to keep the wind out..

a friend of mine got her dog a heated dog house. living in wyoming it gets very cold and the dog still needs to go out. so this way she can put him out and he wont freeze while he is outside. seems to have worked well for them.

i would put a really thick blanket over their kennel to add insulation, top this with a plastic sheet if you have lots of rain! put loads of bedding inside and make sure they have enough feed to keep them warm
