Of course, no person shall know the hour, day, or year in which Christ will return.

But we have certainly seen many things in recent years that seem to correspond to events and scenarios detailed in prophecies found in the Bible.

But then, maybe these things I am talking about, such as wars, famine, earthquakes, etc, have always been with us.

What do you think? Do you ever speculate that we might be living in the end times?

The big one for me is how a hate-filled, man-centered "religion" is posing as Christianity -- fundamentalism.

Yes. The Jews have returned to the land of Israel after almost 2000 years. A nation was borned in a day. Speaking the same language of old - Hebrew. This generation will not pass until all be fulfilled.

The enemies of Israel surround them.

The love of many has grown cold. Have you noticed the cold hearted people in Christian nations? It is to be assumed in heathen nations, but not Christian. Have you noticed the increase in evil? Have you noticed the increase in disease?
Have you noticed the increase in genocide? Famine? earthquakes? Tsunami and Hurricane/Cyclone? The winds and waves roaring. Have you noticed the spirit of antichrist where people blaspheme the name of the Lord and His Word, the Holy Bible? Have you noticed the children?

The black death killed far more people 500 years ago than any diseases lately,by a LONG shot.WWII killed more people than all the wars since.Great earthquakes and volcanoes are definitely not new.The only thing new is even poor people have access to 24 hour around the world news.As far as the "mockers of god"..weren't they "mocking" Jesus with the crown of thorns and king of the Jews sign. You see more, thanks to cable and Internet, but absolutely nothing, war, disease, famine,
earthquakes, even "god mockers" is increased now from yesterday

I don't wonder - I know!
Just read this scripture - 2 Timothy 3: 1-5 - "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away."
I don't know about you, but I can certainly see this, especially the last one where it says that people will have a form of Godly devotion, but prove false to it's power. There are many atheists and many more people becoming atheists every day.

2nd Timothy 3:1thru7..........This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

I think nothing special is going on now. As about the resemblence of some thing that are happening now to what is written in the apocalipse, I frankly believe we are imagining things. Did you notice that, when you look at a cloud, the cloud may resemble to many thing at the same time, depending on each person's view?

It's true they've always been with us, but each decade brings worse. Definitely I, as many, feel we are in the end times. I'm not Catholic, but I like the messages of Medjugorje; we are here only through the grace of God granted to us by those who pray.

When I look at the events that are unfolding in the Middle East, especially Israel I am assured that these are the last days.

I hope not.

It is just that sort of fatalism that causes people to lead less productive lives.

Do you remember how Linus used to sit around and wait for The Great Pumpkin while all the other kids were out enjoying Halloween?

Did you learn nothing from that episode?

Jesus said no man knoweth the hour or the day when the son of man cometh, not even Him, but only the Father.
