Why do the reserve officers get a choice in this matter? It really should be up to the sheriff, the patrol commander or the person in charge of the reserve unit.

In my opinion, it should stay at the county. At most departments, reserves only work 2-4 days a month. Too little time for someone to have a take home car.

First of all you should hit the spell check, second why would you think that the County would let a reserve take a squad car home. It's crazy talk. If it's up to the reserves where the car should go then leave it in a secure location, I know like the county garage. Good luck with your plight.

It belongs in the County garage. This way it is available for whoever is on duty. It will also save on fuel from having to be driven to reserve officers homes. Human nature tells me that a car taken home would be used for private transportation.

It Needs to stay in the county yard there is no reason for it to be else where that only promotes misappropriations issues and miss use issues.
