If you don't see pups within 24 hours of the temperature drop, call the vet.

Big dogs like that can often have primary inertia, especially if they are overweight. That means the labor won't start without veterinary intervention.

EDIT: If it's a large litter you also have to worry about secondary inertia, where the b*tch gets tired and stops pushing. Veterinary help is needed for this too.

once the temp drops she should be in full labor within 24 hours.
If she isn't panting and making a nest within 24 hours of temp. dropping then it is best to at least call a vet if not go to the vets. Esp with the weekend coming. Off hour vet visits go up to about twice. If she doesn't have anything before the vets office closes I would call the vet just to give a heads up in case of any problems.
Also do not allow more than 1 hour between pups again this can be a sign of complications.
Good Luck and if you don't mind email me and let me know how all goes.

She should be keepin gyou busy shortly. Just keep an eye on her and assist when needed. If she starts having a pus or green smelly discharge then call the vet other than that give her 24-36 hours if she seems in serious distress call the vet but she may just take her time as long as she is doing well ne worries. Good luck with the new demolition crew!

you could call your vet to be sure she is in labor. If she is put her somewhere where she can have her puppies!
