Almost all programs have the option to do a custom install where you can designate where to store them. Utorrent is of course an exception...for that program all that you have to do is create a directory on your D drive and save the downloaded install there and then run it. It will install to that directory.

Let me get this straight ..... you want to defy the default logic built into 99% of windows installations. For what purpose do you wish to do this?

Once you receive an answer here, next week you'll be questioning why none of your stuff works or why it doesn't get updated with the latest updates.

Regardless of your reasoning, let me just suggest that until you become a de facto monarch like Bill Gates and the Redland Gang, YOU JUST DON'T GET IT YOUR WAY. So just accept this as one of those things that, while possible to do, might just give you results you don't want and aren't prepared to deal with.

good Luck

Use DRIVE IMAGE to make a copy of your original drive, then just install it to your new one, you can even resize the partition to fit.

Use the administration tools to change the drive letters

control panel / administrative tools / disk management
