I have a Samsung 40 inch 1080i tv...very nice tv. So far I have watched only widescreen movies on it (it doesnt put them in widescreen, it makes them full because its a widescreen tv) BUT today at Target they only had Full Screen versions of 2 great movies. Should I wait and get the widescreen versions or do the fulls screen versions on my type of tv look the same? I hope you understand what I am asking. thanks.

I never buy full screen movies. But it will play fine on a 16:9 display.

Your TV has an 'aspect' setting on the remote or under the Video setup menu so you can see the movie in the original aspect ratio or 'streach' the image to fill the screen.

But full screen movies are already chopped off so you could be loosing up to 22% compared to what was shown in the theater.

Send a message - no full screen movies (Unless it's A TV show that was shot in 4:3 ratio to begin with).
