I have been wanting for a while now to find people to team up with to do challenges (such as sky diving, or a bungee jump etc) to raise money for charity. I could do it alone, but I would really like to find people who would be interested in getting together as a team to work together.

And not as a one off either. Ideally I would like to build a small team of people who would be interested in doing sponsored 'challenges' regularly in turns and rotating through different charities.

I'm not sure where to go with this idea, but does anyone have any advice? Are there any groups out there already who do the same thing? Or if not, how might I go about setting one up? And is anyone in particular interested in doing something like this?

I would suggest you post this question again in the Yahoo! Answers International (Australia) section. While you may find some people here in the USA who would want to help out, a plane ticket to Brisbane is quite expensive!

Do you have a website where people can give you donations instead? Good luck, I think it's wonderful that you want to raise money for charity.
