What would you prefer? The mushroom sauce or the caramalised onion dressing?
What would you have with it? Chips and salad or veg, or something else?
Its for a romantic meal for my boyf.

By the way, I have already decided to do a small tomato, mozerrella and basil dish for starters and homemade cheesecake (his favourite) for desert so I'm not planning on making a massive main course.

Caramelised onions plus lightly spiced sotayed potatoes, maybe a lil vedge but don't add too much or it will distract from the taste of the onions and the spices if there are too many flavours.

If I had to choose from one of those it would probably be the mushroom sauce. But I would prefer peppered sauce, chips, fried onions and mushrooms and a side salad...my mouth is watering thinking about it!!!!

Love steak with a cream sauce. My favorite is a version of steak au poivre that has whole green peppercorns in the cream sauce (instead of pepper pounded into the meat which I find too overbearing).
Chips (very thin) would be my choice and a salad for balance.
Need a thin slice of flourless chocolate cake with whipped cream to top this off.

As i dont like mushrooms I would pick the onions. A small drop of chips & salad. Hes a lucky guy

Have to be caramalised onion dressing, and you both have to eat it for all that kissing you will be doing.
I would definately go for chips and veg, unless he is super aware of fitness in which case jacket potato and Salad.
Follow it up with fresh Fruit, strawberries /bananas etc and some melted choolate so you can dip the fruit in and feed each other - very romantic - have a great night.

creamy mushroom sauce, and roasted veg.
personally i would like the chips but they never feel really romantic to me so i usually roast some veg if i'm cooking something a bit special for just the two of us.

If it's Fillet, neither.......... just a bit of English mustard on the side.
Serve with asparagus, fried onions with mushrooms and Prawns in a Garlic & Paprika butter.
A little bit of salad......... and some nice crusty bread!!

Caramelized onion. I like the sweetness of it. If you want to do mushrooms, I recommend a red wine reduction instead of cream.
