Yes, if you're Christian..
Jesus said that imagining sex with a person is the same as adultery.
He said something like "It's adultery of the Heart." I can't be bothered to look it up, but I know it's true.

It's not so much just the imagination, or the thought that's the sin, what Jesus was saying was that if you KEEP ON imagining sex with someone, you will not have the self control to get yourself out of a compromising situation where you ACTUALLY sin.
It would be unwise to look at ****, simply because it will feed that desire to sin.
If you constantly fantasized about a girl at work/school, what's to stop you from committing fornication/adultery with her if she showed an interest in you?

Sex is not sin which is a natural need. Imagining sex with others are of commit sin to hurt others. It really difficult to descript how sin will be. Let's put it this way; your imagination will pushing you to do the fact.
Then you will commit rape. These kind of seed will deeply planted in your mind and if chances come to you. You will commit sin.
Is it clear?

There is no harm in imagining sex.Humans are gifted with natural instincts like sex, being one of them.I think its not a sin since it has been gifted to us by the nature. But then each one of us has a spiritual goal in life.So its up to the particular individual to decide whether he should have sex or not .Sex is good if you wish to lead a family life.It should not be an addiction. But if u honestly wish to lead a spiritual way, then sex doesn't come in that list.

Yes it is, sins of the mind are just the same as any other sin, remember when Jesus said that if a man looked at a woman and lusted in his heart for her it was sin. Jesus will forgive you, for with Him, all things are possible!!

It is normal. But, if it is about a specific person, constantly, it is lust.
Jesus told us that if someone lusts after someone in their heart, the sin of lust has been committed.
Otherwise, we are sexual creatures. It is normal to imagine or think about sex, particularly if you are a teenager and all those feelings and thoughts are new. It is a matter of keeping "those thoughts captive", that is, under control.

Since God gave us sexual feelings, the answer would be no but ONLY if it is imagining sex with your spouse. God gave us marriage and He meant for sex to be within marriage ONLY.
If you are imagining it with anyone else, then yes it is
Matthew 5:28
But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

ISLAM recognizes sex as a very potential emotion. ISLAM says imagining sex is as good as fornication. It ruins the purity of one's mind. It heightens one's sexual desires into carnal desires taking a person on the path of adultery. If one is married, you still have someone to satisfy your urge with, what about those who are not married? Considering that human beings are weak in their tendency to control their sexual desires, one should avoid doing, reading or watching things which takes your mind on such unhealthy tracks.
