k d is correct.. the type of engine available for the 747 varies so the type of thrust reverser also varies.

There are several places you can find information, but unfortunately these information is usually not accessible for everyone.

The best place to look is in the maintenance manuals. But since you ask this question it's not very likely you have access to these manuals.

Thrust reverse is an engine specific thing, there's no such thing as the universal B747 thrust reverse, it depends on the type of engines. But the chance to get this information from an engine manufacturer is even less likely then get your hands on above mentioned manuals...

Your best shot is to try wikipedia, or post a request on a forum for aircraft technicians, maybe someone can help you with a .PDF file of a digital manual.

I know your problem, it's really hard to find technical information of that kind on the Internet, because manufacturers and airlines prefer not to spread out that information so widely.
