How come so many priests and pastors are liars........How is it we all believe that ..........many are called, few chosen............
but yet at every funeral(s), be it Roman Catholic, Methodist, Baptist, Charismatic, SDA, JW, Mormon and every one had another gospel, had another Jesus and another spirit
How is that everyone I had heard thus far....everyone had gone home to the Lord?? IT SEEMS THAT THE GOSPEL IS.... MANY ARE CALLED, ALL ARE CHOSEN. Somehow, somewhere...........the Gospel is changed into the Broadway gospel by false preachers (Matt 7:13-29) and we are all living in delusion!!!
NOTE: 603550 male Israelites came out of Egypt (Num 1&2, above age of 20, excl Levites), they crossed the Red Sea, but wandered for 40yrs. In the end, only two (Joshua and Caleb) entered the Promised Land, which is a pattern of their eternal rest (Heb3&4). What I am saying is that, the vast majority was NOT SAVED.
We could be 40yr in the church, and may not have been saved??

more than liars...............you need an upright honest heart, they cheated you for the past nearly 2000 years...............
Peter = pet'ros = a stone = cephas (??Aramaic) = Jesus interpretation (John 1:42). Peter is not the ROCK. Jesus is the ROCK (petra, I Cor 10:4).
Mat 16:18 ….. thou art pet'ros (a stone aka Cephas), and upon this petra (πέτρα, meaning upon Jesus Christ Himself) I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Mary was born sinner, and after the birth of Christ, offered two turtle doves (Luke 2) according to Lev 12; one for BURN offering and the other for SIN OFFERING, and thus Mary needed a Saviour (Luke 1:46-47).
When the wise men came from the East, they worshipped '''HIM"'....Mat 2:11 ………. they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped Him: …………they did not worship “’THEM’” or worship “'her’”
It is about time you repent from your wickedness and deceit!!!

Indeed, the pastors do not know if the deceased went to heaven or not. That is my point, but many lied at funerals!! They just cannot play God and give false consolations to those present at the wake / vigil / burial. It is utterly the prerogative of the Sovereign God to dispense salvation.
Many are called, few chosen; few means few and alas, the vast majority of us may naver make it!! Luk 18:8 ......Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

How serious is presumptuous sin?
Num 15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
It is so serious that even David, the man after God’s own heart did confess...Psa 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
Very scary, and it happens with the pastors!! No wonder many ...... Mat 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy Name? and in Thy Name have cast out devils? and in Thy Name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.

Yeah, it's so sad. I can completely understand not wanting to upset the family by implying or outright saying that their loved one is in hell. In the case of the funeral of someone who wasn't, or probably wasn't, saved I wouldn't approach it that way. The best way would be to say, "If _______ was here today, he would want me to tell you this..." and then go into a gospel presentation. Because that is the most honest way to do it. If the person was saved, then they are with Jesus and they want their family to know how to get there. If they were not saved, then they are in hell and they would want their loved ones to know how to avoid the same fate.
And yes, it's true, you can be in church for years and still be as lost as the day you started coming. We have seen people like that - people who were in the church for years and years and then something happens to reveal their true colours and you suddenly realize they are as lost as a goose in the fog, even after all this time. It is heartbreaking but it is reality.
I think the only thing more discouraging than those funerals where the pastors give false hope are the funerals for unsaved people where the person leading the service talks about how the deceased is out there somewhere watching everyone, and they hope they will meet again someday. But there is no hope on the faces of the people....nothing to look forward to. It is the most tragic thing.

I so agree with you. It is man that puts everyone in heaven and how sad because most are not there. Too many believe in the Once Saved Always Saved theory and the Bible does not teach that. If you read Gal 5:4, Rev 3:4-12 and Heb 6:6, it tells us that we can be lost if we don't follow God's commands and that doesn't just mean you believe in Jesus like so many post on this site alllll the time.
One thing that is really sad is by the people here teaching these errors, they have to answer to God on Judgment Day for misleading so many astray. The Bible gives us SIX steps to salvation, not just one or two as I see posted over and over again. I hope everyone will take the time to study and find those six steps rather than listen to what others teach them. We should feel good about religion but not to the point we twist it to make it what we want and totally disregard God's word.
And isn't that a form of judging, something many on here get on others about when someone says a person can go to hell for certain reasons? Amazing how it's ok for them to judge and put everyone in heaven but it isn't ok to quote scripture and say some are going to hell if they don't change their ways. Double standard ~ stinks, doesn't it?

I believe what the Lord is saying that many are called to salvation but few are chosen for service. the Lord tells us in His word that he would that all men every where would be saved. In fact, any one who wants to be saved can be via the words of the Lord in John and several other references.
I don't winder why so many pastors and priests have "lost it" in this day and age as we are told in the Scriptures that in the last days men would depart from the truth and people would heap unto themselves preachers who would tell them what they wanted to hear rather than what it the truth. Ask several pastors and priests and teachers today about eternal security to the believer and you will get a huge differing of "opinions" however the Lord doesn't teach us in "whims" as His word is sure and stands fast yet there are many who will tell you that the Grace of God through Jesus Christ is not in itself sufficient as it takes works too! Positive Bible doctrine! there is no substitute for it. Either the Lord means what he says to us in His word or he is a liar! "yea, let God be true and EVERY MAN a liar" I have found over the years that some Christians are reluctant to simply take the Lord at His word and I can't be sure why they do this yet I concluded that human nature being what it is doesn't allow for people to totally trust someone else for their salvation so they might do a few good works "just in case" If you were to ask a collection of priests, pastors and teachers about eternal security to the believer, you would get a huge variation in answers. I believe this is a sign of the times as we are told that in the last days, men would depart from the truth and people would "heap unto themselves" that is they would take pastors and teachers who would tell them what they wanted to hear rather than what is the truth. Some time ago, I posted a question "What is wrong with the church of today" and I received some fairly good responses from older Christions who also identified that the main stream churches simply don't preach it like they should any more as they tend to preach a social gospel under which hardly any one could get saved. I'm glad to see that you stick to the Bible as when we stand on the word of the Lord we cannot go wrong.
God Bless!

You hit the nail right on the head: many ARE called, but FEW are chosen, meaning that many will hear the gospel, but will not turn to Christ for salvation - and it'll be their undoing when they pass on out of this life! Our pastor, however, is NOT a liar! He also preaches straight from God's word - the KJV - and he also has said that 'many are called, but few are chosen'. At funerals, it is the belief of many (a majority of the world) that ALL have gone to heaven, but they do not know this. It is because they merely use 'heaven' as a comfort to those who mourn for that person. However, it is wrong to use heaven as a comfort because the pastor or priest - reverend, etc. has NO clue if that person has gone to heaven. There is also a 'hell', which not many people want to believe exists. The belief of the world today is that you cannot do anything bad enough to go to hell for. Truth is, those who are not saved by God's grace and know Christ as their Lord and Savior ARE on their way to hell - that's the reality of it. God is NOT only a God of love, but is also a God of wrath as well. Those who do not obey His word and choose to live their lives in sin and wickedness will face judgment when they die or when Christ returns - whichever is first. Many churches today only preach about God as a God of love, but if they read the bible, there are many instances in the bible where God has brought judgment/punishment upon those who disobey Him and choose to live in sin. The story of Sodom and Gomorra is a prime example of that. So, in short, you are absolutely correct: many are called, but few are chosen, which DOES mean that not all will be saved.
The Roman Catholic church worships Mary and the pope - NOT God. Ask any RC if Mary can save anybody. If they reply 'yes', ask them where in the bible does it say that Mary can save people? Ask them if she performed miracles as Christ did. Ask them the ultimate question: did Mary die on the cross and then resurrected into heaven? The answer is NO. Mary acknowledges Christ as her Savior, so if Mary was so perfect, why would she need a Savior? Doesn't make sense, right? Well, that's the RC belief as well as their belief that you can earn favor with God, earning your way to heaven by 'works', which is also false. God shows NO respect of persons as the bible teaches. We cannot earn God's favor by works - it is through faith that we believe in Him, so the RC church is nothing more than a cult - a false religion as well as their version of the bible is a false doctrine. I used to be an RC, but thanks be to God, I'm no longer a part of that cult - I'm saved by Christ - :)

Sometimes I wonder why people even ask a question if they have already made their mind up about the answer. Hopefully this is not the case here. Most people hope their loved one went to heaven. There are different denominations, but only one Gospel....namely salvation through Jesus who fully paid the price for our sins. Those that have this, have the Gospel. Jesus IS the ONLY way to heaven. Many are called by the Holy Spirit to have Jesus as their Savior, sadly some reject him even until the day they die.

It is not the pastor's job to decide who is saved and who is not saved. That's God's job. The pastor has to assume that people who are part of his church could very well have been faithful to God and so make it to heaven. He cannot condemn anyone, because it is not in his power to know that they are definitely condemned. So they put the best construction on everything.
Would you rather they assume that all the parishioners who have died are frying in Hell and denounce everyone at their funeral?
How would a pastor know the relationship between a person and God?

Before God cleans the earth he must clean his own house first. God is the judge of hearts and if you don't have the right heart condition then you will be judged accordingly. So find an organization that not only preach the word but live the word.

Indeed, many priests and pastors are law-ers.
I guess they haven't read what the Bible says:
"Ye are not under the law, but under grace" x2;
which Galatians clarifies: "if led of the Spirit".
The law (and the lie) were given by Moses,
but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
He taketh away the first (the law and surely die lie),
that he may establish the second (grace and truth).
Put that in your Sola pipe and meditate upon it,
so you make it to the end written alive unto God.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

There are many who have not been saved because they have lost their faith to God. They did not obey the law of God seriously. the have not followed the teachings of God in the bible.
Priests and Pastors are liars because the are not true prophets and preachers of God. They have their won doctrines from their doctrines of their false religion.
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not; for it was founded upon a rock.

You bring up a valid observation. The truth is, we as mortals, do not know Gods judgement. Many Protestants have proliferated the idea that you just have to "accept the Lord as Savior" and you are in, period. Just isn't supported historically in the Church, nor truly in the Bible. We don't know, we never know. Only God knows.
