A novena is 9 days of prayer, the rosary is normally said daily. But I suppose if someone didn't have the time to pray it normally they could make an extra effort to pray the rosary for 9 days for a special intention.
I did a search and came up with this:

You know, I still haven't figured out if Swiss Guard is Catholic or not...A novena is a prayer over nine days, said for a specific intention. The Rosary is a beautiful prayer consisting of an Apostles' Creed, Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory Bes, which has much spiritual benefit. Meditation on certain mysteries while the prayers are being recited is encouraged.

You are supposed to pray your rosary every day, I dont know if your supposed too but my mum says so. So you could pray nine rosaries one day or nine days in a row because a novena is a prayer you say for nine days in a row, or nine times a day.

No such thing that I know of.
But, I suppose, if you prayed the Rosary 9 days in a row you could call it that.

A novena is a rosary, repeated 9 times over 9 days.
Kind of like chanting "hare krishna" over and over again for all the good it does.
It's just another waste of time.

That is not a prayer. A repeatedly uttered prayer is what God do not allow.
Mat 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
