The normal hug or the light hug is when the couple hugs naturally. This is the hug that is typically used in greeting, a prelude to a kiss or a follow-up to a kiss.

The hug-hug or sexy hug lets us feel the other's body, and fuse with it.

What's in a hug? Everything.

A hug is a way to show that you care. A hug is a minute sign of affection. A hug is given to show that all's well, that end's well. Its there to tell you there's some feeling of closeness. It's a reassuarance of friendship. Upon a goodbye, it really does put the good in bye. It tells you of seeing each other soon, or in the future.

In short, a hug is a hug, is a hug. Its fairly significant in today's lifestyle. It probably had its place in history as well, and surely things were achieved because of a hug. Things still are. At the end of an argument, a hug could show that reconciliation is possible. At the end of an outing session, a hug can state that it was a fun time, and more fun should happen.

By all this, I refer to inter-sexual hugs. Not that I'm a homophobe, but I guess I can't comment on a culture thats not mine, can I? Friends hug each other, couples hug each other, best friends generally should hug each other, and sometimes strangers in your life for a short span would too.

A goodbye hug is something that I'd say is like a wish to keep well. Its like saying "Bon chance". It's really just thanking each other for a good time and going separate ways. For a while, forever, whateveer.

And for someone whom I've known for a decade to not give me a hug when I was flying off to leave the country for a break, I felt that was harsh. And its probably because he gave her a piece of his mind about close proximity. I can only guess, he's finally gained some form of control over her. Which sucks.

A walking away I'll do... The opportunity came twice to give me a hug, one on the night, one smack right on the morning I was poised to fly off. But I got no hug. Nothing to say goodbye. Nothing to say I'd be missing you. Or nothing to say I'd be thinking about you.

Ironically, someone I met for just shy off a week, whom I don't know too much about, gave me a hug when I said goodbye. This after stretching my right hand out, only to have her say that it was much better for a hug.

And that is really not what life is about. Show your feelings damnit.

A "hug" is something you give to someone when you say hi Etc..a "hughug" carries more meaning-its when you can totally get lost in someone Else's arms..feel their warmth & love...a hughug shows that you care. I prefer to call it a huggle as its in between a hug & a cuddle! Nothing like being in athe safe arms of the one you love!
