How would you deal with an hater/haters on the job?

Easy: ridicule.

Example: the movie director Mel Brooks is Jewish, and wanted to make a movie that would make Hitler look foolish. Instead of doing a serious movie, showing his blunders in battle strategy, he did a movie where Hitler was the butt of jokes.

You should add more details. What kind of problem are you having? What do these people say? That way, we can give you ammunition to counter it.

Attacking Hitler with criticism would not have been nearly as effective as subtle (or overt) ridicule.

Humor can diffuse even tense situations. Ridicule makes the other person look foolish, and hence he will be afraid to try to make fun of you, because your replies make him look like an idiot.

Examples:

Hater: You've got a really funny accent.
You: Well, that comes with speaking so many languages. How many do YOU know?

Hater: Why can't you just order fast food like the rest of us?
You: Well, they say your body is a temple, and fast food eaters look like a big round Buddist temple, so... no, thanks!

Hater: That's not how we do things here.
You: Maybe that's why they hired ME. :))

I would try to change the subject when they start going off about their hate. Still have to work with that person right? well, divert their attention away from hating and talk about other things, mostly related to the task at hand, keep them busy. And if they start spewing hatred, kindly tell them that it isnt appropriate or professional and that hey "we have to work together here lets make it as pleasant as possible". If the person is otherwise doing their job and not acting out, then they are just a co worker.

I'll answer this two ways since you neglected to say whether your are legal or illegal. Real quick if your illegal you haft to put up with it or quit! Sorry, but there are no labor laws that cover the treatment of illegals!
If your legal, and can prove the harassment, go to your supervisor and tell him or her that you intend to seek legal representation because of the problem and the companies failure to deal with it!
Then do so, even if they fire you as long as you have the proof of harassment you'll come out on top!
There are laws that protect you from this!!

i now what your talking about. i work with haters to. just because i don't think illegals have any rights they are harassing me about it. the bad thing is they are white who are harassing me over it. they say illegal and legal is the same. i couldn't take it any more and told them they need to get educated on the matter and they was uneducated ignorant white trash. no immigrants or illegals work where i work, nothing but blacks and whites. take it to the big man and if that don't work get a lawyer. i could careless if i get fired from my job, but they will now I've been there when i get done.

If you are wearing clothing that sparks negative attention,

If you have bumper stickers and flags on your car/truck that spark negative attention, stop.
