i dont know why chrisitans choose to beleive in christianity, It is so conflicting , first they say jesus is son of god , then they say jesus is god, then again they say jesus is the holy spirit, i dont get it, besides logic this is just so complex, y cant such a simple thing such as God is one and chose a human among humans as his messenger to spread his word doesnt make sense to them. The whole trinity system is contradictory. And coming to the questions, yes jesus was Praying to Allah.

John Chapter 1 of the Bible clearly states that Jesus IS God. In God there is a Holy Trinity, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That is why the Book of Genesis shows that man was created "in Our image", and not "in My image" (Genesis 1:26). Mark 12:1-20 is a wondeful parable of this truth. The vineyard owner is God the Father, the slaves are the prophets, but only one was his beloved Son. What I'm getting at is that He was not merely a prophet, as Moses was. He IS the Son of God, and He IS God. He was praying to God the Father, His Father. He did this to get personal direction from Him, and also as an example to Christians on how they should act. Sadly, we don't always follow His example. Thank you for your genuine question. I'm sorry so many were jerks to you. Rest assured they did so not following Jesus' example. I hope that should I have a question regarding Islam, I would receive an intelligent, documented response as I have given you.

He was praying to HIS Father. In the jewish setting Jesus Christ was the begotten SON,ALMIGHTY GOD was a spirit,so He needs a human flesh so that He can deliver HIS message of repentance. So JEsus Christ was born in the flesh by Virgin Mary but HE has the HOLY spirit In him,the spirit Of GOD.thats why HE call GOD as his FATHER.But when He was crucified&on the 3rd day He rose again&ascended to heaven,& now HE is the FATHER himself.thats why Jesus said in the Bible 'I & my Father are one'..www.kingdomofjesuschrist.org

Jesus - the only begotten Son of God - was praying to His Father in Heaven. Jesus was a great prophet that's true - but He was the only great prophet resurrected from the dead.

If Jesus prayed to God/ Eloi /Allah, then he prayed to God. So?

It does not invalidate the rest of Christianity which claims that Jesus was more than a prophet. Islam, naturally, does not go that far.

Matthew 1:21 (Whole Chapter)
She will bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus [the Greek form of the Hebrew Joshua, which means Savior], for He will save His people from their sins [that is, prevent them from [Marvin Vincent, Word Studies in the New Testament.] failing and missing the true end and scope of life, which is God].

Matthew 4:7 (Whole Chapter)
Jesus said to him, [Marvin Vincent, Word Studies.] On the other hand, it is written also, You shall not tempt, [Joseph Thayer, A Greek-English Lexicon.] test thoroughly, or [Robert Young, Analytical Concordance to the Bible.] try exceedingly the Lord your God. [Deut 6:16 ]

Jesus was not God. But Jesus had the Power of God. Jesus prayed to God. Jesus meant that people who have seen Him have seen God, because God looks like man.
