Why was his Disciples asleep whilst Jesus had one of His most agonized moments and suffered as any human being could sugger.
Matthew 25: 36 - 45 - Please read.
OUT OF THE YOUTH BIBLE
Verse: 36 Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane. When they got there, He told them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray"
Jesus took along Pieter and the two brothers, Jamd and John. He was very sad and troubled, and he said to them "I am so sad that I feel as if I am dying. Stay here and keep awake with me"
Would you say that Jesus had the same feelings and emotions as we have, and why.
Why could the Disciples not wait and pray for him for just 1 hour and comfort Him in His time of agony?
Are we sleeping whilst we should be praying?
Take Care

Yes, many are sleeping while they should be praying. And it isn't just because of tiredness, or the time of day.
It is because in this hour, this age many like the 5 foolish virgins, are not prepared for the time of Jesus return. The disciple did not know the importance of the prayer Jesus was making, nor the dire circumstances He and they were going to be hurled into... in just a very short time.
Many have been lulled into a false sense of security, have been distracted by worldly things (such as YAnswers), money, gaining recognition so on and so forth. Many are even fooled with doing church work. I myself have fallen asleep when I should be watching.
Praise the Lord, He sets me straight.
Thank You for the question.

And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour ? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
These were the apostles of Jesus. Peter didn't care about Jesus, Peter just cared about who would be the greatest.
This was before Jesus died, after Jesus died Peter went fishing instead of preaching. Peter was a thorn in the side of Jesus.

The 12 disciples are nothing more than the 12 months of the year, and also probably represent the 12 signs of the zodiac. Jesus is the SUN.... The seasons were doing nothing as the SUN was about to die, they were sleeping, it was winter, and it was cold. Then on Winter Solstice the SUN was crucified, it dies on that day, and rises on the same degree for 3 days in a row, the only time of year it does this.
During these 3 days in the very northern parts of the northern hemisphere say Northern Finland for example it gets very dark and there's no sun at all on these days because the SUN is at it's southernmost point in the southern hemisphere. So they said it went to hell (darkness) for 3 days.
Then on December 25th the SUN rises one degree to the north, and begin its journey back to the northern hemisphere a little more each day until it becomes spring, and summer. So they said it was reborn.
Which is why on Dec 25th 274 the Romans dedicated the day to SOL INVICTUS and the rebirth of the SUN, their SOLAR SUN GOD.... all religions are based upon simple ASTRONOMY, and ASTROLOGY.

Mat 26:36 Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
Mat 26:37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
Mat 26:38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
Mat 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Mat 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Mat 26:42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
Mat 26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
Mat 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
Mat 26:45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Mat 26:46 Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
Before the death of Jesus Christ as man,he had the same feelings and emotions as we have because of His being a man like us.His disciples do not know and do not ever expect that Jewsus will be betrayed into the hands of the sinners and they were very sleepy tht they could not control their heavy eyes from closing to sleep. As man so tired, sleepy moments could not be controlled. It was Jesus alone who was praying to the Father.

Look at the time table... They had been up for almost 2 days at this point. This whole week was an emotional rollercoaster. They just ate a huge meal. They didn't understand the danger that was present.
